It’s a pretty cool world really when you can just dial up a WebCam on the Internet and watcha real volcano go off.  So left is a snap I made from one of the webcams looking at the talk of the town at the moment, the Eyjafjallajökull volcano.  What a phenomenal sight!  Not great for everyone I know, one of the guys at work was due to go to Florida, and looks like he won’t be going, and a bunch of guys are meant to be coming from the USA and Europe to theSharePoint Evolutions Conference this week.  They may not make it either.

 

But you can’t help but gaze in wonder at the power unleashed here, and also our fantastic interconnected world where we can sit in our living rooms and watch it as it happens.  Let’s just hope that nobody gets hurt in the next few days and that common sense prevails and we adapt our lifestyles to the vagaries of the planet, not get all flustered and demanding to know why life cannot continue as normal …  as the great Seven of Nine used to say … "We will adapt!"
